We’re proud to once again be playing a supporting role with UNCF’s annual UNITE, the nation’s premiere gathering of HBCU leaders and those committed to improving higher education for all. Planning is well underway for the July 20-24 event in Atlanta, which we’re sure will be a consequential meeting with compelling speakers and wide-ranging discussions. Registration is now open.
The Center for Black Educator Development’s Future Teacher of Excellence fellowship program is once again supporting some amazing young educators as they seek to hone their craft and become the kind of excellent teachers we all need them to be. As part of our ongoing work and partnership with CBED, we produced these videos on two of this year’s exceptional fellows.
Proving once again her talent knows no bounds, our own Makiah Stephens was awarded a Black Music City award for her mini-documentary. Still in production, the project uses interviews and archival footage to bring to life a narrative that connects past and present to explore the influence of these legends on the Philadelphia Black music scene.
